Liya has joined the Chambers of Narghis Bundhun SC in 2021 after being called to the Mauritian Bar in the same year. She was admitted to the English Bar in 2019 by the Middle Temple. Liya read law at the University of Mauritius before undertaking the Bar Professional Training Course at the BPP Law School. Her practice consists broadly of civil litigation with a particular interest in family law whilst also taking on criminal briefs concerning children accused.
